Artistic Nail Design trainees came from all over the globe to attend the 2012 International Educator Training. Canada, Brazil, Australia and the Netherlands, along with domestic trainees from around the United States convened for four days of demonstrations, self-evaluations, judging, and testing; which included both written and oral tests.
Product knowledge, nail anatomy review, and an Artistic Nail Design Colour Gloss demo were just the start of the training. The following days included French gel polish demonstrations and practice, gel polish art demonstrations, Artistic SMARTgel application, pink and white sculpture and gel polish testing.
The trainees also got a sneak peek at new products that would be launching in 2013 from Artistic Nail Design, along with a chance to test, play with the items and give their professional feedback.
The last day of training concluded with a very extra-special treat. Viv Simmonds and Catherine Wong from VivCat Design hosted an exclusive nail art class for all the Artistic Training attendees. Viv, who is from Australia and Catherine who hails from Singapore, are both world-renowned nail artists who developed a series of advanced design classes in both acrylic and gel to inspire and help nail technicians expand their creativity and technical skills, in order to be more innovative at both the salon and competition level. The Artistic Nail Design Trainees were so excited to have them both here so they could learn from some of the best in the industry. Horses, butterflies, tigers and flowers were the creatures and fauna that everyone learned how to create from acrylic and colored gel.
