NAHA: It's Finally Here!

Today is the big NAHA day!! We went to a few seminars early in the morning and were all wrapped up by about 5pm. We had to be ready and in the room where NAHA was being held by 6:45pm. We were slightly rushed because the walk from Mandalay Bay to the Luxor was at least a ten minute walk. Add heels into that equation and, well, you get the idea. After I had gotten all dolled up I ran to meet up with my friends so we could all walk into the event together. There was a pre-party in the room connected to the ballroom where we were able to have appetizers.

We all felt so classy with our beef martinis and salad balls. Obviously there must have been a real name for these appetizers but none of us took the time to find out what they actually were, so it became the joke of the night. We walked into the NAHA ballroom, set down our belongings, and started taking pictures like crazy. Finally the event began and the professional dancers started doing their thing. After the last dancer had started the Flash Mob dance, my entire table and I popped up and joined in the dance while standing around our table. One by one each group would pop up until we were all doing the dance together; it really got the crowd pumped for the event! The announcing began and we were able to hear all of the nominees and the winners of each category. The entire event inspired me even more to continue to enter into the NAHA categories in hopes that one day, and one day soon, I won't be attending the NAHA awards as a guest but as a nominee! Till tomorrow! =]
