THE DETAILS: Hundreds of student competitors representing more than 20 Illinois cosmetology schools, including Pivot Point International, competed in the following categories: Color to the Extreme, Club Mix, Long Hair Styling, Red Carpet Divas and Make-Up (Avant Garde and Evening). Cosmetology students from all over the state attended, rooting on their favorite entries.

THE WINNERS: Make-Up Avant Garde: Daniela Popatanasova from Truman College; Make-Up Evening: Voctor Gomez from Truman College; Color to the Extreme: Jessica Jager and Ethan Flores from Capri Beauty College; Long Hair Design: Scott Ichikawa from Pivot Point International; Red Carpet Divas: Sara Facenda and Mesay Bishu from Truman College; Club Mix: Gianna Trois and Marta Drausel from Pivot Point International.

THE FINAL WORD: "Our annual student competition provides a forum where students can gain confidence, improve their skills and win accolades for their work," says Trisha Seil, IACS President. "We are constantly amazed at the talent and creativity displayed by students at this event."
