BEFORE & AFTER: Stunning Golden Lob With Ecaille Highlights

Starting with a dull, faded ombre, haircolorist Kate Vannatta (@styledbykate_) cut off a few inches of hair and gave her client a trendy lob. "My client loves rich, warm tones for winter and was inspired by a haircut previously done by me, to chop it all off," she says. "The long bob has been my most requested haircut of the season. I love paring it with face framing Balayage to really make the shape of the cut pop."

Vannatta adds, that lobs when complimented by a dimensional coloring technique, make for a flattering and easy-to-maintain at-home style.

This look also resembles the new Ecaille trend, also known as the “tortoiseshell technique,” which is all the rage in haircolor right now. Vannatta shows in this haircolor how you can incorporate lighter pieces without being dramatic. Celebrities like Sarah Jessica Parker, Anna Kendrick, Dakota Johnson have recently been spotted at premiere and events, displaying a similar look like this onewe head into Spring.

THE FORMULA:
