Jennifer Finch  (@hairdresserjen) of Mon Amie Salon, Redlands, California, spent 4 hours correcting her new guest who arrived with level 5 box color that was about 4 months old.  "Sara found me on Yelp and decided to give me a try," says Finch. "She was excited but somewhat apprehensive to lighten her hair. Sara is graduating collage in a few weeks and wanted a new fresh look. She has never had her hair colored in a professional salon prior to this experience - only using box color at home."

Here Finch shares the details of the transformation:

Step 1: Balayage using Joico Duo Light Caramel ("I absolutely love this lightener!!) 20 volume equal parts with Olaplex #1.

Step 2: Bump up volume to 30 near end of application.

Step 3: Process for about 45 minutes. Rinse and apply Olaplex #2. Finish with UNITE products.

"I blended the balayage with her natural color that was grown out so no base color was needed."

Before she left the salon, "Sara told me that she was in love with her hair it was exactly what she wanted. I love when I can give my guest the boost of confidence that they need."
