"My client has never had color applied to her hair—besides the blonde which I had to correct," says Thelma de Klerk (@hairbythelma), a natural balayage, foilyage and ombre specialist based at The Muse, Johannesburg, South Africa.

"According to my client, the hairstylist that applied the blonde used 'strange looking bottles' that had very little or no labelling to mix the color and that the hair was placed on crumpled foils looked as if they have been used more than 5 times. All my client wanted was for me to cover it up completely."

Here de Klerk shares the correction details using all Schwarzkopf Professional:

Step 1: Apply a tint to the dark section of her hair. Root formula: half 7-0 (natural) half 7-46 (beige, chocolate) On the blonde: Pre-pigment her hair before the tint application using equal parts 7-57 (gold copper) + 0-88 (red concentrate) + 0-55 (gold concentrate). Boiling water is added it to a spray bottle to mist the blonde with the pre-pigment formula. Process, shampoo and dry the hair. The hair looked pastel red/orange.

Step 2: Tint with 6-65 (chocolate gold) and 6-46 (beige, chocolate). Process for 45 minutes. Rinse. Step 3: Treat with Schwarzkopf Professional Color Freeze. Finish with "Shine Concentrate" treatment to help lock in the color pigments and seal the hair surface..
