@Pure Pigments don't mix together, Goldwell says. Instead, they sit next to each other on the hair so that each dye reflects its own color. Pearl Blue and Matte Green soften and counteract unwanted tones while Pure Yellow, Pure Orange, Pure Red and Pure Violet create a vibrant effect.

Experimenting and playing with hair color is part of what makes being a colorist so fun. Whether it's to hide grays, brighten with some balayage or completely change someone's entire look, having the right products on hand to safely and effectively achieve the desired result is key.

Texas colorist Sydney Anne Lopez is most well-known for her vibrant color transformations (and has recently created a second Instagram to display her naturals). From bold blues to deep purples and wild greens, Lopez has done it all. When a client is looking for a fun change, Lopez grabs Goldwell's @Pure Pigments.

When Goldwell launched its @Pure Pigments direct-dye additive, colorists quickly saw the impact of the products' bright hues and dimensional effects. The results continue to blow up social media feeds and generate results with 63% more shine when combined with Goldwell's color lines. The shades are boosted by up to three-times the color intensity, and color will have twice as much resistance to fading.

It's not uncommon for client's to come to Lopez and give her the creative reigns. Recently, one of Lopez's platinum client's was transformed with a beautiful peach finish. Watch the video here:

For this look, Lopez wanted to add dimension. She chose to make peach her dominant color and used pastel rose, lavender and mint for variation.
