This client has been coming to me for 4 years and I always foil her blonde with a base bump," says Cathie Duran (@cathieschair)  of Elysian Hair Studio, Murrieta, California. "She came to me in May wanting magenta.  First thought......NO!  Because as hairstylists always think how am I going to get that out when she wants to go back to blonde in a month. But I did it..and the magenta was beautiful. It held in the hair for 4 months with no retouch." To remove it, Duran used Redken Fusion Clear with 20 volume and Enjoy Formula 18 bond builder. "It came out quickly, but left a yellow/ greenish color in the midshaft. After processing, I heavily foiled her with 20 volume Pravana bleach at root and mid shaft with zero developer, adding Formula 18 to both.  After rinsing at bowl I towel dried and applied Redken Gels 10NA with 20 volume for 3 minutes for a base bump. The hair was then toned with Redken Shades EQ 3/4 9v 1/4 9t with 1oz of Clear." The entire process took 6 hours.
