Samantha Daly (@bottleblonde76), a master stylist at Cutting Loose Salon in Sarasota, Florida, specializes in blonde and short hair.
"I live and breathe hair," Daly says. Her bio on Instagram says, "I find beauty in making people beautiful."
Daly had her chance to make this client beautiful. "Sarah had been dark for a long time and was dying to make a big change," Daly says. "She opted for blues and purples, but her conservative job wouldn't allow it, so we went for the extreme change of making her a platinum blonde."
Adds Daly, both artist and client are in love with the new look.
Get the color: Platinum blonde
STEP 1: Blend Paul Mitchell Synchrolift lightener and 30 volume peroxide. Apply from half an inch from the scalp to ends and process for one hour. Do not rinse.
STEP 2: At the one hour mark apply lightener at the scalp and process 20 more minutes.
STEP 3: Rinse and apply Paul Mitchell Ultra Toner UTP. Process for 10 minutes.
STEP 4: Rinse and apply PM shines 9v. Process for 20 minutes.
