Redken Global Creative Director Guido created an understated, elegant French twist to enhance the lavish sophistication on the runway at Hermes’ fall/winter 2015 runway show in Paris.

“The Hermes woman is always very luxurious and rich,” Guido says. “She has this timeless, classic elegance that’s sort of reinvented or modernized each season. For this show, I created an easy but very chic and sophisticated French twist that a real woman could wear.”

At Oscar de la Renta’s fall/winter 2015 show, Guido utilized the French twist again but used a modern touch by raking the hair back with his fingers.

“The look is very elegant and classic—very uptown chic,” Guido says. “Though the finished look is very done, there’s a sense of ease to it from the lines that I created by raking my fingers through the hair, and the shine that I added with Redken’s Diamond Oil High Shine Airy Mist. The key here is to secure the twist at the back of the neck, making sure it’s flat and tight against the head, which creates a beautiful profile.”
