THE EVENT:Fantastic Sams Bi-Annual Convention, September 14-16, 2014 at the Mirage in Las Vegas.

THE DETAILS: With inspiration to “Look. Feel. Be Fantastic,” over 800 stylists, salon managers, franchisees, regional owners and industry suppliers came together to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of Fantastic Sams. The 3-day event offered opportunities to connect with the brand, brush up on training, and get face time with industry leaders, fellow franchisees and business suppliers.

THE PROGRAM: The convention started off with the annual TIGI Model Runway Show. Fantastic Sams CEO Allyson King and COO Linda Chadwick presented keynote speakers Tabatha Coffey and Scott Deming. Additional events included special recognition for Fantastic Sams Top 50 performing salon teams and concluded with an evening gala celebrating the annual Artistic Styling Award contest winners.

THE EDUCATION: “The goal for this year’s education surpassed expectations, giving our franchisees tools and strategies they could implement the minute they stepped foot back into their business,” said Chadwick. The education line-up included twenty break-out sessions that were relevant to franchisees, salon managers, and stylists, and covered topics like a new haircut system, color training, retail and leadership workshops, and multi-unit franchising seminars.

THE LAST WORD: “As we celebrate 40 years, this is a special time for all of us to come together as a group to learn from where we have been and get excited about where we are going,” said Chadwick. “It is a time to get reenergized with our brand.”

“Save the Date 2016” will be announced early next year.
