“This look represents the romantic, European lady with an active lifestyle. The hair is loose, undone and pretty. The makeup is natural to imply a natural glow achieved from the sun,” says the TIGI team.
“We started by spraying the hair with TIGI Catwalk Your Highness Firm Hold Hairspray and blow-drying it around the crown to thicken and texturize. Then, brushing the top section back, we created a twist in the center of the head to prep the section for loose waves. After, the hair was pulled into layers - two top layers and two layers on either side of the head – and sprayed with TIGI Catwalk Session Series Work It Hairspray.

We then began French braiding the hair toward the crown of the head. The braid starts out smaller and tighter, gets chunkier and looser and then becomes tight at the bottom again – for a fishtail effect. To finish, we sprayed the braid with TIGI Catwalk Session Series Transforming Dry Shampoo to toughen it and give a messier, natural look. It was then blow-dried so that it swelled and became bigger.
The front pieces were sprayed with TIGI Catwalk Session Series Transforming Dry Shampoo and TIGI Catwalk Session Series Wet Look Gel to texturize and the twisted top layer was put into Velcro rollers. After removing the rollers, we used a tong to create loose, soft curls for a graphic front. To finish the look we sprayed the hair with TIGI Catwalk Your Highness Weightless Shine Spray.
Light make-up was applied to imply a subtle, natural Sunkissed glow achieved effortlessly through an active, outdoor lifestyle, without effort. We applied TIGI Satin Foundation in a bisque shade all over the face using a brush. Eyes were prepped with an eyeshadow base and pink blush was applied for understated, barely-there color. We gave the models a pearly nude lip and finished the face with a light powder to create softness.”

“The look we created for Mara Hoffman represents an ethnic beauty, specifically a Mexican Goddess, whose style is tribal chic,” says the TIGI team.
“To get the look, we began by brushing out the hair and spraying it with TIGI Catwalk Session Series Work It Hairspray. We then separated the hair into sections and crimped each section, starting as close to the roots as possible. After crimping, each section was sprayed again with the hairspray.
We then pulled the hair into a high, tight ponytail and, once secured, the ponytail was braided and pulled into a top knot directly in the middle of the head. To keep the top knot from slipping, we sprayed it with TIGI Catwalk Session Series Transforming Dry Shampoo, which added stiffness and texture.
Prior to the show, different patterns of authentic Mara Hoffman fabric had been braided into false crimped hair. We then weaved these false braids over the top of the head to create an exaggerated braided, top knot.”

“The look we created for Helmut Lang represents the girl who loves rock ‘n roll concerts and has been head-banging all night long. She’s cool; she throws up her hair and doesn’t give it much thought. It’s all about the texture,” says the TIGI team.

To achieve this look we sprayed hair section by section with TIGI Catwalk Session Series Salt Spray to work up some oil and cause the hair to separate.
Then, we soaked the hair with TIGI Catwalk Your Highness Weightless Shine Spray and applied a very generous amount of TIGI Catwalk Session Series Styling Cream in order to make the hair wet and oily.
We then secured a tight ponytail above the nape of the neck; not too low, not too high. Once secured, we pinched some hair out of the pony so that it didn’t look contrived, as if the model had done it herself.
Finally, we took a section of the pony, split it in half and created a knot on top of it to produce a half knot. This made the pony look more organic and even a bit “wrong,” as if the model had thrown her hair up nonchalantly.”
“We wanted to create a dramatic, reproduced and almost artificial beauty that is extremely interesting to look at. We focused on super shiny hair and exaggerated ponytails.” says the TIGI team.

To start the look we blow-dried the back of the hair and prepped it with TIGI Catwalk Sleek Mystique Look Lock Hairspray section by section. After applying TIGI Catwalk Session Series True Wax to the surface, we pulled hair into a high, tight ponytail.
The ponytail was flat ironed to be super straight and long. We added synthetic hair of bright colors to the ponytail to match what each girl was wearing. We then wrapped some hair around the ponytail.
To finish the look, we sprayed the hair with TIGI Catwalk Session Series Work It Hairspray.”
