Wendee Hanlon of Nico Bella Salon in Camas, Washington, had a young bride with level 7 hair come into the salon and ask for "California blonde."
Hanlon used a blend of pearly blonde formulas to transform the hair into a light, bright, multidimensional blonde and shares the formula with MODERN.
Formulas you'll need:
(A) Wella Blondor + 20 volume
(B) Wella Blondor + 30 volume
(C) Wella Koleston Perfect 8/2 + 12/22 + bit of /88 + 30 vol
(D) Wella Koleston Perfect 10/8 + pastel processing solution
STEP 1: Start with a heavy slice weaving technique with (A) in one bowl alternating with (B) in a second bowl. Utilize more of (B) around face and top crown.
STEP 2: Between foils, use (C) from roots to ends.
STEP 3: Process 35 minutes.
STEP 4: Rinse and glaze with (D) for 20 minutes.
Hanlon says the next two times her client comes back, she will only need to do the new growth with formula (C) to keep the hair healthy.
