From Warm To Bright And Cool - Khaleesi Blonde!

Lindsay Algee (@lindsay.alg) a mobile/self-employed hairstylist in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, posted this transformation and we had to know more. "My client had been living away where she was getting foil highlights every so often for a few years, giving her the appearance of an allover warm blonde, with darker/brassier blonde on the ends from old color," says Algee.  "When she came in she had about an inch of natural level 7 re-growth, with previously lightened warmer mid shaft and ends. At her appointment she said she was going for 'Khaleesi hair' from Game of Thrones, which was much brighter and cooler. A few years ago she had to deal with breakage and damaged hair, so our goal was to get it as light as possible without risking the health of her hair."

Formula and timing:

Step 1: (lifting roots): Mix 2 scoops (60g or 2oz) Redken Flashlift+2oz Redken ProOxide 20Vol (6%)+Olaplex No. 1. Apply this formula to the scalp, letting it process for about 15 minutes until the roots start to pull yellow.

Step 2: (lifting midshaft and ends): Mix 4 scoops of Flashlift (120g or 4oz)+4oz of 30Vol (9%)+Olaplex No.1 and apply to the midshaft and ends waiting for it to pull to a pale yellow (approximately 20 minutes.) Rinse and shampoo with Redken Cleansing Cream. Towel dry.

Step 3: (toning): Tone with Redken Shades EQ: 1oz crystal clear, 3/4oz 09V, and a drop of 09B and mixed equal parts of processing solution. Process for 15 minutes "watching to make sure that any porous pieces of hair didn't turn violet." Rinse.

Step 4: Apply Olaplex No2 to towel dried hair and process for 20 minutes. Shampoo and condition the hair.
