Goldwell’s new @Pure Pigments direct-dye additives are blowing up social media feeds, thanks to its holographic effects, and dimensional cool and pastel tones.

To showcase the results achievable through the new color additive, we sent Artist Connective members Sydney Ann Lopez, Tyler Plemmons, Marissa Larson and Kristi Waldrop @Pure Pigments for them to test drive the formulas on models ranging from naturals to fashion shades.

When combined with Goldwell’s color brands, @Pure Pigments is designed to generate results with 63% more shine, shades are boosted by up to three-times the color intensity, and color will have twice as much resistance to color fading.

We weren't sure what they'd create but we knew it would be good. The comments and shares on the original posts on Instagram were proof enough: These pigments are INTENSE! And the shine is unreal!

Goldwell explains that the @Pure Pigments don’t mix together—they sit next to each other on the hair so that each dye reflects its own color. Pure Yellow, Pure Orange, Pure Red and Pure Violet create a vibrant effect while Pearl Blue and Matte Green soften and counteract unwanted tones.

“You mix the Pure Pigments into your Goldwell formula to create tone-on-tone boosting, holographic effects, more vibrancy and greater longevity,” Lopez says. “These pigments are total game-changers.”
