AFTER

MODERN Facebook fan Drew Noreen, a stylist at Arizona's Pucci Salon and artist for The Beauty Agents, created this before and after using 808 Flashpoint individual hair extensions put in silicone-lined beads.
Here's how he did it!

Brand: 808 Flashpoint
Color: 6 (Medium Brown) and 973 (Golden Blonde)
Length: 22 inch and 18 inch, both colors

BEFORE

"I first determined placement by accessing the hairline, keeping in mind how the client will want to style her hair," Noreen says. "Depending on density and length, I usually stay 1/2in.-1in. away from the hairline."

Using a brick laying pattern and leaving 1/2in. between each row, start at the nape of the neck with two solid rows of color 6. Starting from the third row moving up level to the top of the ears, use an alternating pattern of two color 6 to one 973. (Ex: 6, 6, 973, 6, 6... ) Use 22 in. length for this process.

With the next row, make sure to leave at least 1/2-3/4 in. of hair above the ear and 1 in. back from temple area. Start first at temple area with 973 to keep lighter pieces around the face. With an alternating pattern of one-one (6,973,6..), move around the curve of the head, ending with 973 1 in. back from opposite temple. Repeat this step one more time using the same process using 18in. length.

BEFORE

To finish the look, first cut any unnecessary length around the perimeter. Next, taking small sections, move around the head holding extensions out at 45º and slide cut beginning at clients natural length to create layers and remove weight. Point cut through ends to soften and take away any blunt lines. Style as desired.
