Q: How do you prevent reds from fading and keep them vibrant?
A: “The key to successfully coloring virgin hair red when using Schwarzkopf Professional permanent color is to avoid using developer volumes higher than 20,” says Amber Dawn, Schwarzkopf Professional Brand Ambassador. “Also, always raise the level to achieve lighter reds, not the developer volume, and use a semi or demi color like Igora Viviance on the ends to maintain vibrancy. Using terrific after care products keeps this color from fading.”
