Marylle Koken has made a name for herself as a talented artist and top-notch mentor.
Born in Holland and schooled in France, Sebastian Professional International Design Team Artist Marylle Koken left the Netherlands to pursue hairstyling at 19 years old. Koken, who is also the owner of Venice, California, salon The Harlot, could come off as intimidating in her attire standard of most Sebastian artists—black, leather, edgy, fashion-forward— if she weren’t so effervescent and quick to laugh.
Even with her extensive involvement with the professional brand, she maintains a large client book, which has included Jack Nicholson, Claudia Schiffer, Nine Inch Nails, the Kardashians and more. With a passion for being on stage with the Sebastian team and mentoring young talent, Koken’s industry involvement seems only to continue to flourish.
