Natural level 5

Formula 1: It’s a Blonde Thing Keratin Lightening System with Keratin Complex 30-volume developer + 1 Vitalshot. (Follow manufacturer’s directions, based on hair length.)

  1. Start in the nape, take a diagonal-back slice and apply Formula 1 to midshaft and ends. Seal in foil. Work up the head and side to side, taking 1-inch, diagonal-back slices and applying the formula in foils.

  2. Focus on the surface, and brush on the formula in a sweeping motion to create a seamless transition. Use a balayage paddle or color board to help thoroughly saturate the ends.

  3. Repeat at the sides, alternating diagonal-back and diagonal-forward slices. Process 20-35 minutes. Shampoo and condition.
