Getting root lift and volume can be a challenge for most professional stylists, according to Rocky Vitelli, Farouk Systems Global Artistic Board Member. "When the hair is healthy, heavy or even light, it sometimes looks flat and lifeless." To combat this situation, Vitelli has come up with a twist on a standard remedy. "Building hold at the base is key," he says. "I spray a root lifting product on the top and bottom of a 1 1/2 inch section, lift to above 90 degress, overdirect and use medium tension to get perfect results."
