HOW-TO: Caramel Honey Brown With Dimensional Highlights

“We need to add dimension and excitement to brunettes, and the Forgotten Brunette technique is the way to achieve it," says Marco Pelusi. "Adding strategically placed, off-the-scalp highlights, to create more of a caramel honey brown, is a wonderful way to spice up your brunettes."

THE VISION: “We need to remember as professionals how beautifully we can create luscious brown shades,” Pelusi says. “We need to add dimension and excitement to brunettes, and the Forgotten Brunette technique is the way to achieve it. Adding strategically placed, off-the-scalp highlights, to create more of a caramel honey brown, is a wonderful way to spice up your brunettes, as seen in Brandy’s color.”

THE LOOK: To achieve the look, highlight the hair in radial partings with lightener. Apply a light honey glaze to gently tone the hair. The finished look is a beautiful honey caramel brunette–with added gold for warmth– where the base starts out a bit deeper and gradually becomes lighter towards the end of the hair.
