HaloCouture was easily one of the hottest booths at the Premiere Show. This video offers HOW TO use a 20 inch piece extension to get Ombre color.
Stylists and salon owners were lined up at the HALOCOUTURE Extension booth at the Premiere Show in Orlando, Florida this past weekend to get fitted with - and learn more about - these special pieces designed to add length, color, volume to any finish. The Remy Human Hair pieces are available in 20 colors and in 12, 16, 20 or 24 inches in length.
Modern stopped by to meet with HALOCOUTURE's Tiffany Hoover, who was showing Brooke Schaeffer how to place the product on her clients (Schaeffer is opening a salon in Winter Park, Florida). "These really are amazing," said Hoover who was sporting her own 20 inch piece. "HALOCOUTURE is quick, easy and looks awesome."
The extension is held in place by an invisible "Miracle Wire" which falls along the top of the head, approximately 1 - 2 inches from the hairline, and is hidden by the existing hair. The halo falls naturally below the base of the rounds of the head. The rest of the hair above the halo is pulled out over the extension to all blend beautifully.
For Schaeffer, Hoover chose the 20 inch ombre for to give the effect without coloring the hair. The halo was prepared, before the final fitting, by adding a little wave with a curling iron. To blend, Hoover slide cuts with a shear "but many people prefer a razor." For the look shown here, Hoover would charge the client, including cutting, $550.
As Modern walked away, Brooke Schaeffer was all set to place a large order. She plans to have a space devoted to fit, cut and sell HaloCouture extensions.
