Holli Smith for Oribe Hair Care shares the HOW TO for the finish at Patrik Ervell.

Patrik Ervell was inspired by the ethos of interior and industrial design for his Spring/Summer 2015 collection. Taking notes from Ervell’s choice of durable and high-tech materials (think weather-resistant outerwear), Holli Smith, using Oribe Hair Care, created a look that was opposite of the popular wet hair seen on the runways. Instead, she opted for a dry and matte hairstyle associated with the punk and rock scene of the ’70s. “I really love the ’70s-style, brushed-out hair and the obsession with the Denman brush. Their first household, designer brush that they bought,” said Smith. “It made this world of hair that was broken-in and slept-in but also really ordered and neatly produced. It’s short but it’s brushed. It’s not spiky and it’s dry.”
Get the Look:
1. On damp hair, apply Maximista Thickening Spray and blow-dry with a vent brush.
2. Use Dry Texturizing Spray and flat-iron the hair so it lays toward the front to frame the face.
3. Use a Mason Pearson to liberally brush the hair. Style the hair as desired and finish the look with Superfine Strong Hair Spray.
