Brian Jensen (@hairbybjensen) of Reno, Nevada, says he just doesn't know what he would do "without my hands in a head of hair." The Sexy Hair educator and salon stylist has had those hands full since being voted "best stylist" for 5 years in a row by the Reno News & Review Reader's Poll.

When this client came in looking to go platinum, Jensen knew what to do. Here he shares the steps:

Before:  2 inches of regrowth and midshaft and ends were a very brassy level 7.

Step 1: For the first inch apply Framesi BDiamond blended with 25 volume developer.

Step 2: For the second inch apply Framesi BDiamond blended with 30 volume developer ("to prevent banding")

Step 3: To midshaft and ends apply Framesi BPowder with 20 volume developer blended with Olaplex ("Since her ends had been treated with lightener previously, I want to protect the hair.")

Step 4: After 30 minutes, rinse thoroughly. Shampoo.

Step 5: Tone with Redken Shades EQ 1oz 09N, 1/2oz 09v and 1/4oz 09G. Rinse thoroughly.
