Cool blondes can be hot in the summer!

Many clients want to lighten up as temperatures outside rise, and Joi Rooks, owner of Fresche Salonin Atlanta, Georgia, brought her level 5 client to a light, bright blonde.

"My client came in with level 5 dark hair and wanted to be as light blonde as I could take her," Rooks says. "I approached this as a virgin application, leaving the roots out."

Get the color: Icy Nordic blonde

STEP 1: Apply Goldwell Oxycur Platin and 40 volume to midshaft and ends. Process 30 minutes.

STEP 2: Apply the same to roots and process 25 minutes.

STEP 3: Shampoo with Goldwell Dualsenses Rich Repair Shampoo.

STEP 4: Mix Goldwell Elumen SV @10 with a splash of AN @5. Apply and process 20 minutes.

"The key to this color is maintaining touchups," Rooks says. "She will need them about every three to four weeks."
