In what has quickly become a social media phenomenon, Beard Baubles are a hilarious and creative way to decorate for the holidays. Just think—no room for a tree? Just grow a beard (or enlist your favorite bearded bud). Don't want to haul it from storage? Beard. Not keen on strapping a fresh one to the top of your car (the ways that could go wrong are far too many to detail here)? BEARD.
Celebrity hair stylist Dean Banowetz has enthusiastically joined in on the fun; take a look at his Instagram (@deanbano) for his increasingly creative beardcorations (can we make that a word? We just did).
If you're trying to make your own in a pinch rather than order through the Beard Baubles website, it's really quite simple. You could sport to an ugly sweater party or retail to fun-loving clients. Who can say no to these? Not us.
HOW-TO: MAKE YOUR OWN BEARD BAUBLES
STEP 1: Acquire some small-ish ornaments. Here are some good ones.Here are some other good ones. Feel free to enlist a color scheme (all blues and silvers; only red and green; whatever floats your boat) or theme. Creativity is encouraged.
STEP 2: Take a bobby pin and place it through the hole where you would normally place a hook or string for the tree. Throw them in cute gift bags for your favorite bearded co-stylist, stick in your beard for fun days in the salon or holiday parties, and retail to your bearded clients. Done and done!
