We found this flawless platinum blonde on @saloncouture_ny's Instagram and we had to share! Colorist Alexa Mansa gives us the how-to steps. Mansa's client came in with virgin dirty blonde hair and wanted to go lighter, here are the results:
STEP 1: Preform as you would with a regular full-head of highlights at the root. "I used L'Oreal Quick Blue High Performance Powder Lightener with 20-volume starting in the back of the head then the two sides and the top I used 30-volume," Mansa says.
STEP 2: Process for 35 minutes.
STEP 3: Wash out hair with Platinum Blonde Shampoo by Paul Mitchell.
STEP 4: Glaze hair with Redken Shades EQ 9N & 9V equal with clear.
