PRAVANA Guest Stylist Lara C Kay created this burgundy ombre in the PRAVANA studio of Innovation using the Pure Light Power Lightener, ChromaSilk and NEVO Color Enhancer Treatments. The treatments can be used to create new looks, or refresh an old ombre that might be starting to fade. It’s also for clients who may not be ready to commit to a permanent haircolor and are interested in trying out a new shade.

STEP 1: Section the hair in zig-zag partings across the parietal ridges, crown, behind the ear and across the occipital.
STEP 2: Make zig-zag subsections. Use a thicker stitch then backcomb the hair.
STEP 3: Apply Pure Light Power Lightener to the remaining strands feathering towards the top of the section.
STEP 4: Continue working up the back of the head.
STEP 5: In the sides, create zig-zag diagonal-back subsections then continue using the thicker stitch and backcomb.
STEP 6: Working into the crown and towards the face, create zig-zag vertical sections.
STEP 7: Process until desired lightness is achieved.
STEP 8: Shampoo and towel dry the hair.
STEP 9: Apply Chromailk 7.5 + Zero Lift Developer to lighter strands.
STEP 10: Shampoo with NEVO Moisture Rich.
STEP 11: Apply NEVO Deep Burgundy Color Enhancer for enhanced color. For maximum uptake, leave in for 15-20 minutes.
STEP 12: Rinse, dry, and style as desired.
