Josie Vilayvanh (@josievilay) of Wink Studio, Winnipeg Manitoba, Canada, is no stranger to acknowledgement. She was named the Contessa Manitoba hairstylist of the year 2012 and the Mirror Canadian Hairstylist of the Year for Manitoba in 2013. "I hope one day to inspire other stylist as I am inspired by some of my peers," says Vilayvanh. When we saw this soft summer blonde on her Instagram account, we tracked her down to learn more. Step 1: Lighten with Artego Lovely Lights Cream Paste with 25 volume on the roots and mids. Process for 1 hour lifting to pale yellow 9.
Step 2: Rinse and spot bleach the darker areas (that didn't pick up) with the same lightener but with 10 volume. Process for 20 minutes and then rinse.
Step 3: To the root, apply 7N Artego itsCOLOR with 10 volume.
Step 4: To mids apply 10 Pearl and 10.01 Artgeo itsCOLOR on mids
Step 5: To ends comb the level 7N (step 3) creating a soft blend "so there would be no defined line between to colors and more of a melt".
