ICMAD Announces CITY Award Winners for Cosmetic Innovators of The Year
Eight member companies of the Independent Cosmetic Manufacturers and Distributors Association (ICMAD) were recognized for their innovative products, packaging and advertising at the association’s fourth annual CITY Awards for Cosmetic Innovators of The Year.
The winners were announced at an awards ceremony during ICMAD’s 34th annual meeting on June 13, 2007, at Bridgewaters in New York City. Sam Brocato, himself a beauty business entrepreneur, presented the CITY awards to the winners.
In opening remarks to the more than 100 members attending the dinner, annual meeting and awards ceremony, ICMAD President David Schieffelin of Models Prefer, Ltd., said, “The coveted CITY Awards for product and marketing innovations prove the depth of contribution made by ICMAD members to the cosmetic industry by recognizing the finalists as well as the winners. The CITY Awards represent dedication, effort and creativity by our members. For me, the CITY Awards represent everything that makes our industry so dynamic.”
The CITY Awards were judged by respected advertising, marketing and sales executives with experience, but without current affiliation, in the cosmetic industry.
