Traditionally, salons are not the most conducive environments for staff meetings. Meetings must be held at times when the salon is closed for business—but that’s often a challenging time for staff members to gather.
For Bryan and Silvia Nunes, owners of Blo in Raleigh, North Carolina, the solution was the establishment of a High-rise account via highrisehq.com.
"This site is a content and contact manager that allows us to create and monitor progress on tasks and projects,” says Bryan Nunes. “I can give access to these tasks and projects to whomever I want, and they can add updates and ideas to the individual entries.”
The new site allows everyone involved in a particular project to get up to speed and update others on their own time, without determining a scheduled meeting. Now, the system also allows staff to provide management with important feedback and helps the owners monitor and address customer complaints promptly and effectively.
“It’s great for planning huge projects such as cut-a-thons or photo shoots,” says Bryan. “And for about $24 a month, the program gives you unlimited users.”
