Samantha Harman (@SamanthasBeautyConfessions) of Posh, Marlow, Oklahoma, says her longtime client was having some hormone issues and decided to take a break from hair color.
“When she decided she was ready to be blonde again, our main goal was to blend, brighten and get rid of the warmth in her hair.”
Here Harman shares the details for the transformation:
STEP 1: Babylight and teasylight using Joico Blonde Life lightener (Olaplexadded for added protection.). Starting in the back, alternating patterns using 10 volume and making sure every piece of hair is foiled. Once way through the head, switch to 20 volume for even processing.
STEP 2 – Pre-tone the hair with Fanola Vegan No Yellow Shampoo before applying the shadow root and toner.
STEP 3 - Apply Redken Shades EQ 9N with a little bit of 9V to the roots to create a seamless blend. “I like to apply my shadow root in a teardrop shape for a more natural look.” While processing, apply Olaplex No. 2 to the mids and ends for additional conditioning. Rinse.
STEP 4 – Apply Redken Shades EQ 9V, 9T and Crystal Clear to the rest of the hair. Using a W.O.W comb, blend the root and the ends together.
STEP 5 - Style with Design.Me Fab.Me, PowerDry.Me and finished with Hold.Me
