Lori Weaver (@creationslori),a Senior Stylist at Luxe in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, has been a stylist for 9 years and says "color is my passion, from corrective color - I love a challenge - to fashion colors and new techniques."

For this session she got to do all of the above. "My client came in with a level 7 natural root with a level 8 very warm gold/orange colored mid-shaft to ends hair. She has fine hair as well. The goal for today's appointment was a soft/subtle blonde."

Here Weaver shares the details for this transformation:

Step 1: Using the balayage technique and a 1/2 inch thick paint brush, take large V sections from ear to ear in the back and side of face and apply Wella Blondor 40 grams + 80 grams 12% blended with 40 volume developer. Process for 40 minutes. Rinse and towel dry.

Step 2. Tone from roots to ends with Wella Koleston 10/16 and Pastel developer (1:2) for 16 minutes.

"The 10/16 + Pastel is my ultimate favorite and go-to for a gorgeous blonde."
