Dennis Cooper (@dennismarshallcooper) of Atelier Salon by Square Salons (@atelierbysquare), Las Vegas, Nevada, says long time client Celeste has not had her hair colored in 2 years. "She was ready to go back to blonde, however wanted to create a look that required and looked 'low maintenance'. With roots being all the trend right now we decided to go for this look that Celeste found inspiration in from Khloe Kardashian."
Here Cooper shares the how-to:
The Formula:
Starting with a natural base level 3.
Step 1: Apply tease-y highlights using Redken Flashlift Lightener 25 volume with Olaplex 1.
Step 2: Balayage with Redken Flashlift Lightener 20 volume with Olaplex 1 between tease-y highlight foils. Lift to pale yellow.
Step 3: Apply Olaplex treatment 2 for 20 minutes. Shampoo and condition hair.
Step 4: Apply Redken Shades EQ equal parts 8n and half 8v with 9 volume to create a root shadow. From scalp, smudge down with a “blush brush” 4-5 inches. Process for 20 minutes.
Step 5: Immediately apply glaze mixture from mid shaft to ends of Schwarzkopf 9,5-4 with a cap of 9v Shades EQ with 9 volume. Process for 15 minutes. Rinse.
Step 6: Apply Olaplex treatment for 20 minutes and then shampoo and condition the hair.
(To achieve this look from before picture to after picture; It required two separate sessions of the above formula. Each session took roughly 8 hours to complete. )
