Elizabeth Gossett (@elizabethhairartist) of Karas Salon in Wichita, KS, says her client started out with virgin level 7 hair with a few grown out blonde peekaboos. Here she shares the details for this lovely transformation:
Step 1: Lighten the mid-shaft and ends, leaving roots out, using Schwarzkopf Blond Me with 20 volume. Process for 10 minutes. "I wanted to keep it quick so we could prevent as much damage as possible."
Step 2: Lighten mid-shaft and ends again with the same formula and process for 5 minutes. Then apply to the roots and let process for an additional 15 minutes.
Step 3: Shampoo with Matrix So Silver and let it sit for 8 minutes "to get rid of as much of the yellow tones as possible."
Step 4: Apply an Olaplex #2 treatment.
Step 5: Apply 3 different shades for the fashion colors: 1) Pravana Purple with a 1/2 oz of Clear to brighten the purple 2) Pravana Pastels Blissful Blue with a two inch ribbon of regular Blue 3)Pravana Pastel Luscious Lavender with a two inch ribbon of regular Violet.
Step 6: Apply formula 1 to the roots and feather down.
Step 7: Starting at the nape alternate formulas 2 and 3, applying in triangular sections, working up to the crown.
Step 8: At the sides apply formulas 2 and 3 in vertical sections for dimension.
Step 9: Process for 30 minutes and rinse and condition with Matrix Repair. Style with Label.M products.
