Leysa Carrillo (@leysahairandmakeup) a hair and makeup artist based @atelierbysquare, Las Vegas, Nevada, has an admitted passion for curly hair, texture, and color. For this client, a level 3, Carrillo had her hands full with a black dyed base (5 inch) and ends previously bleached level 8 golden with pops of dimensional pinks.
Here she shares the details for this transformation:
Step 1: Blend Schwarzkopf BlondMe Lightener with 20 volume developer. Apply in the back (2 panels) placing thin panels in foil. Continue to sides, moving up the head, then to Mohawk, checking back on what's already been sitting in foils and rinse what's ready. Lift the hairline last ("it's fragile!"). Process each section for 30-45 minutes, lifting to yellow. Rinse.
Step 2: Apply Joico Intensity Color Eraser. Rinse. Shampoo with Schwarzkopf BlondMe Toning Shampoo.
Step 3: To base apply Schwarzkopf T-strawberry + drop of 0-89. Pull through some sections. Take random pieces from what is left out (focusing more along the front and crown) and spray with Schwarzkopf Blush Sprays. Process, rinse and shampoo.
