The Matrix Mannequin Mania competition has selected its second round of semi-finalists in each of four categories: hair stylist, salon team, beauty school student and Matrix friends and family. Here, a few semi finalists share their design inspiration.

Stylist: Rick Murray, Changes Hair Salon, Knoxville, TN
Mannequin Name: Miss Dog Gone
"The love of my life, my little beagle. Her name is Lady GaGa. I was looking around the house for some inspiration and she kept barking and throwing a fit. I looked at her and said, ‘Well there ya go.' I was so surprised how much it turned out to look like her. I took the two things I loved most and put them together-my doggie and hairdressing."
