The Event:Farouk Cancun 2015 conference, Sept. 18-22, 2015, at the Moon Palace Golf & Spa Resort in Cancun, Mexico.
The Details: Thousands of stylists, distributors and media from around the world traveled to Mexico for Farouk Systems Inc.'s five-day conference. Attendees had the option of partaking in three- or five-day packages that were set on the backdrop of the all-inclusive resort in Cancun.
Never shying from dramatic and exciting presentations, there were multiple runway shows and 60 models featured in Saturday morning's presentation alone. Styles ranged from wearable and sellable to larger-than-life and avant garde. The event kicked off on Friday night with a red-carpet reception and white party with performances by Flo Rida and Natalie La Rose.
The following days were jam-packed with education and exciting news from the Farouk team, technology innovations shared by CEO and President Basim Shami—and, of course, inspiration from Founder Farouk Shami.
Launches+News: There are five immediate product launches coming from Farouk Cancun: CHI Ionic Color Shine Shades Liquid Color, CHI Escape Professional Cordless Curling Iron, CHI Tea Tree Oil Line, DURA CHI Marcel Iron and BioSilk Rock Hard Line. Read more on these launches here.
Additionally, there is a bevy of up-and-coming news and launches for 2016 that attendees got a sneak peek of. Notably, Farouk is partnering with men's magazine Esquire to launch a men's line in the upcoming year. Also, actress and singer Zendaya has been announced as the new brand ambassador for CHI Haircare.
Farouk devotees can also look forward to the CHI Rose Hip Oil Line, CHi Almond Oil Curl Care, a partnership with Nylon magazine, handle-free Handshot Dryer, CHI Onyx EuroShine tools, CHI Ellipse Teflon and titanium tools, Ribbon Iron, CHI Ionic Color Illuminate Conditioners and new products added to the Kardashian Beauty line.
