Oh, the power of social media! This client moved from California to Ohio and was looking for a new stylist. It didn’t take too long! She targeted her new beauty pro found her after checking the Facebook feed of some of her new local friends who posted a new photo of herself giving a shout-out to one of our favorite colorists, Janel Latessa (@hairbyjanellatessa), owner/master stylist at JL Hair Artistry, Mayfield Heights, Ohio.
Latessa first removed five inches from the length. If you're going to remove a decent amount of length, Latessa advises you cut if off first "so you don’t waste time or color.”

Here she shares the details for the new color:
STEP 1: Full head teasylights using Latessa’s customized weave and slice diagonal bricklayer pattern. Start in the back applyingLakmeK-Blonde with 20 volume, building to 30 volume as you reach the top. Process to desired lift.
STEP 2: When removing foils, push up to melt the lightener to blend. Rinse. Pre-tone by shampooing with Fanola No Orange shampoo.
STEP 3: Tone on damp hair using Lakme 8/17 gloss. Process for 10 minutes, rinse and then shampoo with Fanola No yellow mask.
