Jon Reyman, using Olivia Garden brushes and Aveda products, created timeless finger waves for the Chiara Boni fall/winter 2017 collection, shown at the most recent NYFW.

Inspired by the 1930’s, the elegant and carefully structured waves required a smooth canvas to style. Here Reyman offers the how-to:

To begin, use Olivia Garden Ceramic + Ion Speed XL Round Brush to smooth out any natural waves or texture in hair prior to styling. Next, using a flat iron, create C-shaped waves around the crown of the head. Brush out C-shaped waves with Olivia Garden iStyle Brush, then use Olivia Garden Double Clips to create flat S-shaped waves down the side of the face. Apply Aveda hairspray liberally for hold. After removing clips, finish the look by tucking the remainder of hair into a faux bob.
