Celebrity Stylist Keith Campbell creates pompadours, milkmaid braids, bouffants and sleek ponies using Design Essentials hair care products at Harlem Fashion Row's 7th Annual Fashion Show & Style Awards on September 9.
This season's Harlem Fashion Row presented elegant and edgy looks from Byron Lars, Harlem Haberdashery, Josh & Nicol and Kiki Patterson, styled by Hair Architect Keith Campbell for Design Essentials. In a show attended by New York's luminaries of fashion and art, the Design Essentials Style Team adorned models with four distinct looks on both relaxed and natural hair created with the Professional and Natural lines.

BYRON LARS: Artistically avant-garde pompadours graced models wearing the chic, irreverent designs of Byron Lars. Reminiscent of killer tidal waves, Campbell's team created the look on straight and naturally curly textures using Design Essentials Sleek Max Edge Control to slick sides and Form Professional Holding Spray to keep locks' volume into place.

KIANGA "KIKI KITTY" PATTERSON: Complementing the fierce florals and flounces from the K. Milele Collection by Kiki Patterson, Campbell created messy milkmaid braids and flowing fishtails plaits. Wild, natural locks like Bre Scullark's from America's Next Top Model were kept soft and hydrated with the Design Essentials Hydrience Argan Collection Moisturizing Creme and Design Essentials Natural Curl Enhancing Mousse.

JOSH & NICOL: Over the top teased hair retained its elegance with the 60s inspired bouffants of models for Josh & Nicol. Presenting chic coats, dresses and suiting channeling African prints, pretty pumped-up volume was achieved courtesy of the Design Essentials Natural collection such as Honey & Shea Edge Tamer and Twist & Set Setting Lotion.

HARLEM HABERDASHERY: Sleek, center part ponytails ruled for the laser cut skater skirts and body skimming sheaths from Harlem Haberdashery. For hair that shines like glass, Design Essentials Sleek Max Edge Control kept edges in place and the Hydrience Argan Moisture Replenishing Mist added shine plus heat protection to loose waves and ponytails.
