Fighting breast cancer is a serious endeavor at BSG/ Cosmoprof. During September and October the company’s “Passsionately Pink” campaign promoted breast cancer awareness throughout North America with store activities, salon programs and product promotions. The company’s Pink Angels Web site (pinkangels.cosmoprofbeauty. com) allowed salon professionals to share stories and inspiration online pertaining to breast cancer experiences. Throughout the campaign, Cosmoprof stores were decorated in pink, as were the office spaces of BSG employees in the company’s Denton, Texas, headquarters.

On October 19, a company-wide celebration in Denton recognized the efforts and funds raised by the BSG/Cosmoprof team, stores and salons. Beauty Systems Group President John Golliher presented a $20,000 donation to Susan G. Komen for the Cure. “All of us at BSG/Cosmoprof are passionately pink for a cure,” said Vice President of Marketing Carolyn Corporon.

“Our industry is unique with a predominance of women as clients and salon staff, and our team is proud to be in a position to provide support, motivation and education about breast cancer, and to have aligned ourselves with Susan G. Komen for the Cure.”

At an earlier Pink Day Celebration at Beauty Systems Group Canada’s Mississauga, Ontario, headquarters, President John Costanza presented a $5,000 donation to the Breast Cancer Society of Canada. As an example of individual store commitment to the cause, Cosmoprof Store #6514 in Winchester, Virginia, had an exceptional pink presence. Inspired by the personal story of one associate’s daughter’s battle with breast cancer, the employees of the store decorated with pink accessories, wore pink themselves and promoted pink products.
