Penrose Academy in Phoenix, AZ and ERGO Styling Tools, Valencia, CA are partnering to make ERGO’s Ionic Ceramic Brushes available to Penrose students in their Cosmetology Kits and retailed in their Student Salon.
According to Penrose Academy President and Founder, Jill Kohler, it was student demand that ultimately caused the partnership with ERGO.
“A few of my best students attended Beacon and visited Cosmoprof North America (CPNA); they discovered the ERGO brushes there and were so excited. Although ERGO’s President Robert Reed and I had gone back and forth in years past, it was never the right time for us to switch. However, when you have students that eager and enthusiastic, it is time to pay attention!”
Kohler adds that all of the Academy’s students are now getting a chance to explore the range of the line and are happy (‘one student bought 7 additional brushes and was obsessed with them’). Penrose Academy purchased all of the round brushes available in the collection, most popular among stylists for its weight, balance, non-slip silicone handles and ability to give hair shine plus beautiful finish.
“Having happy students means that our educators are doing a great job and our guests are pleased. Our next goal will be to showcase ERGO’s education team here at Penrose Academy in early 2015,” shares Kohler.
ERGO President Robert Reed is thrilled with the company’s new partnership with Penrose Academy.
“All of us at ERGO look forward to a long and successful relationship with Penrose Academy," Reed says. "While Penrose is already a dynamic academy, we plan to bring their students the highest quality available in professional styling tools, an understanding of how to protect their bodies from the rigors of hairdressing and the effective ongoing educational support that goes along with creating a successful and healthier career in our industry.”
