Esther "Kitty" Mendoza, an artist at Paint Shop in Beverly Hills, California, is a natural level 4. MODERN found her instagram (@kittylahairstylist) and had to learn more about her pink color. The Beverly Hills artist shared her formula, plus added some tips on how to maintain this powerful pink.
GET THE COLOR
STEP 1: Lighten to level 9 with Clairol 7th Stage lightener.
STEP 2: Blend Beyond The Color Zone Jamz Party Time Pink as directed. (available at Sally Beauty Supply)
STEP 3: Apply from roots to ends. Process for 30 minutes with heat.
PRO TIPS
-Use Zenacare Collagen Spray in the shower (Mendoza has been using for three years and swears by it).
-To maintain the color, mix a little bit of conditioner with the color and use at every shampoo.
-You must the Wet Brush ("It is the only one I've used since I met it," Mendoza says.)
-Always use a thermal protectant when using hot appliances.
