Beginning today, the company’s Makeovers in Minutes contest will accept video submissions of hair-based makeovers. The contests grand prize offers one talented makeover artist a full cosmetology scholarship to any of the three Chicago-area Pivot Point Academy locations. Pivot Point invites anyone interested in starting a new career in the beauty industry to submit a video to the contest.
· The contest extends from November 10, 2010 and closes December 10, 2010. To enter and watch the makeover videos, and for details to submit, visit pivot-point.com.
· Voting for the fan favorite entry will begin on January 10, 2011.
“Pivot Point students come from all walks of life: recent high school graduates, college grads who see better job prospects in our industry and career changers looking to start over due to the tough economy,” said Sara Pirok, vice president of franchise development and international academies. “What binds our students together is their determination and talent. We thought that, with the new year coming up and people beginning to think about fresh starts, a makeover contest would be the perfect way to find original talent to welcome into our programs.”
