THE EVENT: 2008 Premiere Orlando Beauty Show. THE VENUE: Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. 

THE DETAILS: More than 46,000 salon professionals and students flocked to the show to visit the jam-packed exhibit floor, see the Main Stage talent, and attend a variety of class rooms and educational presentations. The DaySpa Conference and Global Texture Conference were two of this year’s show highlights. A sampling of the Main Stage attractions included: Angus Mitchell and Robert Cromeans for John Paul Mitchell Systems; Sandra Yu and Team Rusk; Anthony Mascolo and James Morrison for TIGI; Sam Villa for Redken; and Jeffrey Altenburg for Tressa. The Hair Color Today stage showcased: Beth Minardi; Clairol Professional’s Danny Lapointe and Anita Gutierrez; Patrick McIvor for Product Club and others. The Day Spa Conference provided educational seminars on a variety of esthetic topics from Sothys, Pharma Skincare, Pevonia and Repêchage. Global Texture premiered with educational seminars and fabulous fashion from Mizani, Avlon, So.Cap USA and Namaste Laboratories.
