One of the best parts of any beauty show is discovering new products and since I’ve been on a constant quest since the age of 13 for the latest and greatest in beauty, coming to a show like Premiere is like visiting Mecca.
One of the best parts of any beauty show is discovering new products and since I've been on a constant quest since the age of 13 for the latest and greatest in beauty, coming to a show like Premiere is like visiting Mecca. Row after row after row of cool serums to try, flatirons to play with, techniques to learn and fashion to inspire.
Knowing that we were going to do a product spotlight for today's newsletter, I spent yesterday cramming in as much show as possible and trying to find at least three products to share with you that intrigued me. These three all caught my attention, but do keep in mind this was not even the tip of the iceberg when it comes to what there is to see here! I wish I was able to give visit every single booth and give you a, complete thorough listing, but you're just going to have to make do with these. Come to the show yourself next year and we can compare choices!
Vern Shears
This system for cutting is unlike anything I've seen before. Basically, there are eight pairs of shears that you can combine in hundreds of different ways to create specific lines, textures and styles. And when I say combine, I mean it literally. The shears are interlocking, so you're cutting with two, three, four or even five shears at the same time – although sticking to two or three is advised. Only one stylist there was said to have cut with five shears fastened together. You can check out their website, www.vernshears.com to see the different combinations and their effects. Also, check out the video I shot of a stylist demonstrating the shears.

nTrance
Argan oil is an ingredient I've seen popping up more frequently in a variety of hair and skin care products. Harvested in Morocco from the argan tree, the oil is fairly expensive because of its exclusivity, as well as the results it gets. Loaded with vitamin E, it conditions and nurtures hair and skin. I tried out nTrance's version this morning and I have to say I was impressed. I followed my typical hair routine, adding in a single pump of oil before blow drying, and the silkiness that resulted after I flat-ironed is fab. This is definitely a keeper. Go to www.nTranceHair.com for more info.

T3 Bespoke
This line of stylish styling tools has been retooled! They launched the new versions in December and the new flatiron offers dual voltage for traveling abroad and a single cast technology that allows just one pass down the strands to decrease styling time by half. The higher end Bespoke line is not brand new, but the improvements they've made are and they're great. Plus, check out the rhinestone bling in the handle of each appliance – perfect for the image-conscious stylist.

Keep an eye out for tomorrow's Daily Style Watch, where I'll give you some tidbits from the second day of the show. Also, don't miss the Modern Scoop blog. I'm posting even more show coverage there, including pictures and some video as I have it.
