Stretching 40 stories tall in the heart of downtown Chicago, the Hard Rock Hotel was bustling with press, musicians, fans and more at their VIP Suite this weekend for the Lollapalooza music festival. For their 5th year in a row, RED 7 SALON (based in both Evanston and Chicago, IL,) accommodated fans and ACTUAL Lolla artists Friday through Sunday in their private pop-up salon (located in the VIP suite).

Shower curtains line each station. It's Got2Be's creative vision of being able to "Shower anywhere" with their Dry Shampoo, which RED 7 SALON was promoting to customers.
Sponsored by Got2Be (a brand inspired by street styles and designed by stylists, and also the sister company of Schwarzkopf Professional), RED 7 stylists worked on a number of artists this weekend. This year, stylists were there to only cut or style, while promoting Got2Be’s Dry Shampoo. “Got2Be sent us products to our salon for us to try out beforehand,” says RED 7 SALON co-owner Jason Hall. “We have found that a handful of people who have visited us at the Lolla VIP suite have followed us to our outside locations because of meeting us here.”

Celebrity Stylist Larry Sims (spokesperson for Got2Be) also attended the event, not only to promote the Got2Be brand but also to work on some celebrities. Simms has worked on celebrities like Victoria Beckham, Queen Latifah and Eve.

Friday: Walk the Moon, Iration, Girl Talk, Gemini Club, Ceci Bastida

Sunday: Typhoon, Hey Champ, Young the Giant, Taylor Momsen (from Gossip Girl), Skylar Grey, Bethany and Bob from Best Coast, Fat Jew
“This event is always fun for our team. It give us something different to do rather than working on location day-to-day,” says Hall. “It’s all about the experience of doing great hair, great service and meeting wonderful people along the way. We like doing an out-of-the-box experience every once in awhile at RED 7.”
