David Guerin, Global Artistic Director for Oster Professional, has created Renegades on a Mission, a non-profit corporation that raises money, equipment, and man power for individuals faced with devastation beyond their control.
The “Renegades" first campaign is a CHILE RELIEF FUND. After the 8.8 earthquake on February 27, David got on board to bring help to barbers and hairdressers that have been devastated by this tragic event.
One large distributor based in Santiago, Chile, which has 90 stores throughout the country of Chile, saw 20 of their stores ruined to a pile of rubble. One of the sons of the owner was last seen in one of the stores minutes before the quake and has not been seen since. It is feared that he may have been buried under the rubble.
David will be busy raising money, product, and equipment to help rebuild the livelihood of barbers and hairdressers in Chile. “This is a time where our industry can pull together and help rebuild the lives of our peers in this country” said Guerin. “No one can plan for this type of destruction and devastation therefore, those of us that are able to have an opportunity to give another person something to live for.”
Money donations can be sent to David’s salon and addressed as:
Renegades on a Mission
838 Pacific Blvd SE
Albany, OR. 97321
They will be putting teams together to go down into Chile and physically help in the rebuilding process of barbers and hairdressers. Anyone interested in coming on board and becoming a Renegade on a Mission please contact David or his daughter Dawn at 541-926-3548 or by email to David dguerin@jardencs.com or Dawn drgknoll@qwestoffice.net.
