It was all about red lips at the Grammy Awards.

It was all about red lips at the Grammy Awards. Rihanna and Beyonce took center stage on the red carpet with scarlet matte lips paired with glowing skin and black lined eyes. Polar opposites in fashion (Rihanna in a flowing red gown by Azzedine Alaia and Beyonce in a skintight black cat suit by Osman Yousefzada), the red lipped songstresses were the beauty stars of the show.
Bravo girls.

Taylor Swift may never ever get back together with him, but I hope she never loses her trademark bangs – this time framed with a lovely crown braid that complimented her J Mendel Grecian-style gown. Her deep fringe highlighted smokey eyes softened with a touch of gold. Glossy nude lips were the perfect youthful finishing touch.

Carrie Underwood was all about eyelashes and more eyelashes. Immaculately groomed and arched brows complimented dozens of individual faux lashes that framed her bronzed smokey eyes to perfection. Soft pink cheeks and lips added a feminine finish.
Kelly Clarkson rocked retro glamour in a sexy black lace cocktail dress accessorized with huge turquoise earrings. Keeping with her retro spirit, her newly blond hair was waved like a 1940s starlet. Red lips and shimmering cheeks added to the glam.

Jennifer Lopez turned a blind eye to the CBS clothing memo and sashayed down the red carpet in a leg revealing Anthony Vaccarello gown. Jlo’s tan skin was shimmering from head to toe. Ever the trendsetter, she added a touch of whimsy to her look with Cleopatra inspired top and bottom winged eyeliner. Fabulous.
Katy Perry’s red carpet ensembles are usually wacky and wonderful. This time out, she wore a simple lime green gown with a plunging neckline (I guess like Jlo, she didn’t read the CBS memo!). Extra long eyelashes and nude lips took a backseat to her fabulous huge dark tresses. When asked on the red carpet about her hair she replied: "I was inspired by Priscilla Presley in the '70s – big hair means closer to God.” Amen.
See you at the Oscars, darlings.
